The Daily Gospel 2010 is an attractive publication that contains the scripture readings for the Daily and Sunday celebration of the Holy Eucharist.  Each page contains a reflection by Sr. Joan Chittister, OSB. This pocket-size, soft-cover book is an excellent tool for those who wish to delve more deeply into the treasures of the Sacred Scriptures as presented in the Daily and Sunday Eucharist.

 

Sister Joan Chittister, OSB isaBenedictine nun for more than fifty years and
an international lecturer and an inexhaustible writer who has authored around 40
books, topics of which include spirituality in the modern world, women’s issues, human rights, religious life, peace and justice. Sister Joan earned her masters degree from the University of Notre Dame and her doctorate in speech-communication theory from
Penn State University. She also served a year as an invited-fellow at Cambridge University.

She is a member of the Benedictine Sisters of Erie, Pennsylvania, where she served as prioress of the community for 12 years. Sister Joan is the founder and current executive
director of Benetvision, a resource and research center for contemporary spirituality
that is also located in Erie. She writes a weekly web column for the National Catholic Reporter, “From Where I Stand.”
